eBook Publishing

I read an article recently which stated it takes c.15 minutes to publish an eBook on Amazon Kindle…and so it might, if we’re just talking about loading the file and the cover, but the preparation has taken me weeks. As I posted on Facebook, writing the novel was the easy bit! There is a lot to do to ensure the formatting is correct and a heap of stuff to read on pricing, lending, digital rights etc etc. You know what the worst part is though – copyediting. I have read the novel through God knows how many times now, but remain terrified I have missed something – because it’s all down to me! Every single little error will be my mistake; my oversight. But I’m hoping tomorrow will be the day when I take the plunge and publish. Here’s hoping!
